Business Study in China
Business study in China is a credential a named school agrees to teach — a degree, a non-degree short course, or a visit that still needs a host — and it is not a seat DragonTrail can reserve. Start with that label, the language of the classroom, and the fee on the school’s own page.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
DragonTrail has no business-school intake, partner list, or tuition. Figures on this cluster are what 中欧国际工商学院 (CEIBS) and 清华大学经济管理学院 published, plus cards on CUCAS, read on 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). Several clocks on those pages have already passed. No company host is confirmed.
At a Glance
| Credential | Separate a master’s degree, an open short course, and a company visit before you compare prices. CEIBS prints all three kinds of classroom product. It does not print a public factory roster. |
|---|---|
| Host and faculty | CEIBS teaches in 上海, and also names 北京 and 深圳 for some programmes. Tsinghua’s Global MBA notice places the full-time English cohort in 北京. Faculty names are the school’s, not ours. |
| Work experience | CEIBS’s full-time MBA asks for two or more years. Its Chinese EMBA page asks for eight years, including five in management. Its Global MiM FAQ asks for at most about one year. Those bars are not interchangeable. |
| Language | The CEIBS MBA overview says English. The Chinese EMBA page says Mandarin, or English with interpretation. Tsinghua’s full-time Global MBA notice says English. A short-course card often leaves language blank. |
| Curriculum | Read the page for that product. An MBA core list is not the syllabus of a two-day negotiation course, and a module map is not a week of company meetings. |
| Company access | Not confirmed. CEIBS describes an Integrated China Strategy Project with “a real company” and does not name the company. A past classroom client is not a visit you can book. |
| Certificate | A CEIBS MBA is a Master of Business Administration. Tsinghua’s Chinese notice also names a graduate certificate and an MIT Sloan course certificate for the Global MBA. Open courses are not that degree. |
| Schedule | Clocks disagree inside CEIBS’s own MBA pages (August on the FAQ, September on the overview). On 29 October 2026 the MBA Early Action date of 14 October 2026 had already passed. Round 1 is 2 December 2026. |
| Employer papers | Some applications ask for an organisational chart or for the employer to allow classroom days. That is the school’s form. It is not educational leave, and it is not a DragonTrail contract. |
Name the Contract Before the City
People searching for business study in China often mix five contracts: a full-time MBA, a part-time EMBA, a management master’s for recent graduates, a short open course, and a walk through a company that has not agreed to host them. 中欧国际工商学院 publishes the first four on its English site. The fifth is the one this cluster will not invent. A campus in 上海 is not a factory gate, and a degree certificate is not a two-day attendance letter.
DragonTrail does not admit students and does not hold a catalogue of business seats. Find a Suitable Program shows how study routes are organized. It does not enroll you at CEIBS, at 清华大学, or at any company. If a sentence below names a yuan or euro figure, it also names the page that printed it and the date we read it. Where that page left a cell blank, the blank stays blank.
Two MBA Clocks, Not One National Price
CEIBS’s full-time MBA overview describes a 16-month programme in Shanghai, with a 12-month option, taught in English, for people with two or more years of work. The same page’s tuition line is RMB 488,000 for the 16-month MBA. The fees page for MBA 2029 (entry in 2027) repeats RMB 488,000 and glosses it as about USD 72,500. The expenses page for MBA 2028 glosses the same yuan figure as about USD 68,000. The FAQ also says about USD 68,000. We do not pick a dollar number, and we do not convert the yuan ourselves.
Tsinghua’s Chinese notice posted on 14 October 2026 describes a different product: the Global MBA, full-time in Beijing, planned over two years, taught in English, with a printed intake of 30 and tuition of RMB 198,000 paid across two years. The English international FAQ repeats RMB 198,000 for the Global MBA and RMB 418,000 for “the” part-time MBA, without splitting General Management from the Shenzhen technology programme in that sentence. Those yuan figures are not discounts on the CEIBS number. They are other schools’ stickers, read the same day.
A Short Course Is Not a Quiet MBA
CEIBS executive education is a separate column on the programme table: academic minimum “none,” and work experience that varies by course. The open-enrolment list names classrooms in strategy, leadership, negotiation, finance, marketing, and an artificial-intelligence programme. Several printed dates had already passed by 29 October 2026, including Strategic Negotiation on 21 August 2026 and the Beijing AI programme on 24 October 2026. Later dates, such as Financial Statements Interpretation on 12 November 2026, were still ahead. A date on a list is not proof that a seat remains, and it is not a fee. No open-course price was on the list we read.
The certificate cell for those open courses was also unread course by course. Do not borrow the MBA degree name, and do not borrow RMB 488,000. Company-specific programmes are a third contract again: CEIBS says it designs them with the client, in shapes from two or three days up to multi-month modules. That is a private classroom for that employer’s own people. It is not a public study tour, and DragonTrail does not issue the proposal.
Company Access Stays Unconfirmed
A business-school study tour, a China immersion week, and an industry visit are the searches most likely to invent a host. On the pages we opened, CEIBS describes China Modules, overseas modules, and a three-month Integrated China Strategy Project with a real company. The company is not named. Global EMBA copy mentions modules in more than 20 destinations, including Shanghai, Zurich, Singapore, and Accra. That is the school’s own map for its own students. It is not a calendar of factories, robotics labs, or EV plants that an outside group can join.
We do not repeat client names that appear on CEIBS corporate pages. A company that once hired the school for its own managers has not agreed to receive visitors. If you need a plant, a port, or a lab, the host has to say yes in writing. Until that page exists, this cluster’s company-access line stays “not confirmed.” A campus visit, a corporate visit, a short course, and a degree stay four different sentences.
An Aggregator Card Is Not the Invoice
CUCAS is an application service, not a university. Its undated article lists many Chinese universities that it says teach an MBA in English. The list does not date each row, so we do not treat it as a current inventory. Two programme cards were more specific. The Peking University card says a Global MBA starting 1 September 2027, two years, English, deadline 20 April 2027, tuition RMB 94,000 a year, plus a CUCAS service fee of USD 300. The Zhejiang University full-time card says 1 September 2027, deadline 28 February 2027, and RMB 109,000 a year. Those numbers are CUCAS’s. We did not open Peking University’s or Zhejiang University’s own MBA invoices on this pass.
A service fee on a CUCAS card is not tuition. A TOEFL or GRE line on that card may be a school-wide sentence rather than the MBA rule. Use it as a prompt to open the school’s page, not as the offer. Rankings that CEIBS prints about itself, including Financial Times lines, are not adopted here. Alumni counts also disagree across CEIBS pages (the FAQ says over 34,000; the EMBA introduction says more than 35,000). We leave both untouched.
What to Carry Into the Next Page
Choose the child route that matches the contract you actually want. An MBA page will not answer educational leave. A negotiation page will not quote MBA tuition. An electric-vehicle page will not name a plant. Employer paperwork belongs to the school’s form or, for paid time off at home, to the body that recognizes courses in that workplace’s jurisdiction. A Chinese admission letter is not German Bildungsurlaub, and we did not find CEIBS or Tsinghua claiming that it was.
The two buttons at the bottom of every page in this cluster do the same modest jobs. Find a Suitable Program opens the study-route hub. Request Guidance opens the contact form. Neither button admits you, reserves a dorm, or books a company. If a deadline below is still in the future, treat it as a clock the school printed, not as an invitation from us. If it has passed, do not write to ask us to reopen it.

FAQ
Does DragonTrail offer business programmes in China?
No. DragonTrail does not publish a business-school intake, a tuition, or a list of partner companies. The pages in this cluster explain contracts that CEIBS, Tsinghua SEM, CUCAS, and, for educational leave, German public bodies have printed. You apply to the school, or you ask the recognizing body, not us.
Is an MBA the same product as a short course?
No. CEIBS’s full-time MBA is a master’s degree with a work-experience bar and a published yuan tuition. Its open-enrolment list is a set of short courses with dates, and the list we read did not show a price. Using the MBA fee for a two-day course would misstate both products.
Which MBA fee should I budget?
Budget the figure on the page for the cohort you mean, and keep the school’s name in the sentence. CEIBS prints RMB 488,000 for the 16-month MBA and disagrees with itself about the dollar gloss. Tsinghua’s Global MBA notice prints RMB 198,000. CUCAS cards print other numbers and add their own service fee. We do not average them.
Do I need Mandarin for business study?
It depends on the contract. CEIBS says the full-time MBA is taught in English and that Mandarin is not required, with optional Mandarin classes. The Chinese EMBA page says courses are in Mandarin or in English with interpretation. Tsinghua’s part-time MBAs are described as mainly Chinese. A short-course card may not say.
Can you arrange a company visit?
Not from these pages. Company access is unconfirmed. CEIBS mentions project work with a real company and does not name it. We do not turn client lists into a visitor roster. A host has to agree before a plant, lab, or headquarters meeting is real.
Has the CEIBS MBA application already closed?
Part of it has. For the MBA class entering in 2027, Early Action was 14 October 2026, which had passed on the day we read the page. Round 1 was printed as 2 December 2026, with a decision by 23 December 2026. That is CEIBS’s clock. It is not an instruction to apply through DragonTrail.
Are CUCAS prices the university’s prices?
Treat them as CUCAS’s cards. The Peking University and Zhejiang University cards name yuan tuition and a USD 300 service fee. We did not match those cards to a university invoice on this pass. An undated CUCAS list of English MBA schools is not a current catalogue.
What should I send if I ask for guidance?
Send the credential you want, the teaching language you can use, the city you can actually live in, and whether an employer must approve the time. Say if you need a degree, a short course, or a visit. Do not send a request that assumes a named factory is available. We cannot confirm one.
