Supply Chain and Sourcing Study
Supply-chain and sourcing study in China is often a request to see how goods actually move. On the pages we read, that visit is not confirmed. CEIBS publishes degrees and open classrooms, and none of the open titles we recorded is a sourcing course with a host, a port, or a fee.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
No supplier, warehouse, or port is named. No supply-chain tuition is printed because no such short course was on the list. The MBA mentions operational thinking inside a degree. That is not a factory day. DragonTrail has no sourcing desk and no host list.
At a Glance
| Credential | Unsettled, because the standalone product was not found. A degree that includes operations is a master’s. An open course on a neighbouring topic is non-degree. A sourcing visit, if a host ever agrees, would be neither until someone defines a certificate. |
|---|---|
| Host and faculty | No sourcing host is confirmed. CEIBS faculty teach CEIBS programmes in 上海 and, for some titles, 北京 or 深圳. They are not a guide through your supplier’s plant unless a contract says so. We have not seen that contract. |
| Work experience | There is no sourcing-course bar to quote. Degree bars remain two years for the CEIBS MBA, eight years with five in management for the EMBA, and minimal experience for the MiM. Do not apply them to a visit that does not exist. |
| Language | Unknown for a course we did not find. Shop-floor conversation may be Chinese even when a classroom is English. That is a planning risk, not a published rule. The MBA’s English classroom does not describe a warehouse. |
| Curriculum | The closest degree sentence is the MBA FAQ’s “operational thinking” in the first terms, inside a full curriculum, not a logistics major we parsed. No Incoterms table, no port schedule, and no supplier-audit checklist was in the sources. |
| Company access | Not confirmed. This is the point of the page. No factory, forwarder, or buying office is offered. The MBA’s unnamed project company is for enrolled students over three months, not a sourcing appointment. |
| Certificate | None for a visit DragonTrail does not run. A degree certificate covers the degree. An open-course paper, if one exists for another subject, does not document a supplier meeting. |
| Schedule | No sourcing date. Nearby open-course dates, such as 12 November 2026 for a finance classroom, are other subjects. Degree clocks are application rounds and multi-month programmes. None is a plant slot. |
| Employer papers | A buyer’s own non-disclosure agreement with a supplier is the supplier’s form, not ours. University groups need their own risk forms. We cannot issue a host letter. Educational leave does not attach to an unconfirmed visit. |
The Visit Is the Missing Document
People searching for supply-chain study in China usually want one of three things: a degree in operations, a short course on purchasing, or a day on a floor where their goods are made. The third is the one this page refuses to invent. No CEIBS open title we recorded is a sourcing or logistics course. No port, warehouse, or contract manufacturer is named anywhere in the set of pages this cluster cites. Company access is not confirmed. Writing a sample Thursday at a fictional plant would be worse than saying so.
DragonTrail is not a sourcing agent. Find a Suitable Program does not list suppliers. If your company already has a factory relationship, the visit is between you and that factory. A school can sometimes be invited along. The school pages we read do not promise that they will be. A past executive-education client is not a factory that will open its gate to a class.
Operations Inside a Degree Is Still a Degree
The CEIBS MBA FAQ places operational thinking among first-term cores, with accounting, marketing, finance, and strategy, in an English 16-month programme (12-month option) priced at RMB 488,000. That is a broad management degree for people with two or more years of work. It is not a supply-chain major, and we did not see a unit list that would let us claim otherwise. Electives change. A sentence that the set includes many topics is not a promise of a logistics elective in your term.
Tsinghua’s Global MBA is another management degree, full-time in 北京, RMB 198,000 on the 14 October 2026 notice, with a different experience bar. Nothing in the notice excerpt we used isolates supply chain. CUCAS’s undated list of English MBA schools is not a catalogue of sourcing programmes. Using any of these stickers as the price of a factory day would be a category error. The MiM’s required internship is four to eight months with an unnamed host. It is not a buying trip.
Do Not Retitle a Finance or Marketing Date
The open list does have future classrooms: statements on 12 November 2026, marketing strategy on 25 November 2026, both in Shanghai. A sourcing manager might learn from either. Neither is a sourcing course, and neither includes a confirmed site visit. Language and price are blank on those rows too. Borrowing the date for a “supply-chain week” and filling the other days with unnamed suppliers is how false itineraries are built. This page will not do it.
Company-specific programmes can be about the client’s own supply chain, taught to the client’s own buyers, for two days or for many months. The curriculum is private. It does not admit another company’s team, and it does not automatically include a walk through a vendor. If your brief says “teach our buyers, on our data, in our offices,” that is the corporate-learning page. If your brief says “take us to three vendors,” you still need those vendors’ yes. CEIBS’s published shapes do not replace that yes.
The Floor and the Classroom May Not Share a Language
Even if a host later agrees, language is a separate constraint. MBA English does not mean a production meeting is in English. We did not read a CEIBS sourcing course that specifies interpreters. Budgeting for interpretation without a host is premature. Assuming you will not need it is also premature. The Chinese EMBA’s model — Mandarin or English with interpretation — describes that degree’s classroom, not a loading dock.
Work-experience rules are similarly easy to misuse. A junior buyer and a sourcing director are not sorted by a bar we can quote, because the short course does not exist here. If they enrol in a degree instead, the bar is the degree’s. Two years is not eight years. Minimal MiM experience is not senior procurement experience. Pick the credential before you pick the years.
Confidentiality Belongs to the Host
Supplier visits, when they are real, usually come with a non-disclosure agreement, a headcount cap, a photo ban, and a named host employee. None of those documents is in our set, because no host is. DragonTrail cannot sign an NDA on a factory’s behalf and cannot waive one. A university’s risk form for students is the university’s. An employer’s travel approval is the employer’s. Statutory educational leave needs a recognized course with hours and dates. An unconfirmed Thursday has none of those.
The MBA application’s company brochure is evidence for an admissions committee about where you work. It is not a supplier introduction. The Global EMBA’s note that fee sponsorship is optional is about tuition for that degree, not about who pays for a plant visit. Keep the papers with the product. There is no product on this page beyond the warning and the neighbouring degrees.
Say Which of the Three You Actually Need
If you need a management degree that touches operations, read the MBA page and accept its price, its test, and its unresolved start month. If you need a short classroom on a printed date, read the finance or marketing page and do not rename it. If you need your own buyers taught on your own data, read the corporate page and expect a proposal from the school, not from us. If you need a port or a plant, obtain the host’s letter first. Then a school visit can be discussed. The letter does not come from this site.
Request Guidance can help you phrase that distinction. It cannot reveal a hidden supplier list. Find a Suitable Program will not show bookable factories. Bring the city you can reach, the language of the people who would attend, and whether a degree is required. Leave supplier names out unless you already have their written yes, and even then do not expect us to schedule them.

FAQ
Can DragonTrail arrange supplier or port visits?
No. Company access is not confirmed. We do not hold a list of factories, warehouses, or forwarders. A visit is possible only when that host agrees in writing. Nothing we read from CEIBS replaces that letter.
Is there a CEIBS supply-chain short course?
Not on the open-enrolment titles we recorded on 29 October 2026. Finance and marketing dates are other subjects. We will not retitle them. If a sourcing course is added later, cite that new page. This one will not invent the fee.
Does the MBA teach operations?
The FAQ names operational thinking among first-term cores of the full-time MBA. That is one topic inside a 16-month degree priced at RMB 488,000, for people with two or more years of work. It is not a sourcing itinerary and not a specialist logistics diploma we can describe line by line.
What would a certificate say?
For a visit, nothing, because DragonTrail does not issue one. For the MBA, the certificate is the degree. For an unrelated open course, the paper is whatever that course’s brochure says, and we often found that cell blank. A supplier meeting needs the host’s permission, not a certificate from us.
Can our buyers join a company-specific programme?
Only if your company is the client and CEIBS agrees the brief. Those programmes are private. They do not admit another firm’s team, and they do not automatically include a vendor’s floor. There is no public price.
Which language would a factory use?
We cannot say, because no factory is confirmed. Classrooms on the MBA are in English. A production meeting may not be. Do not plan interpretation, or skip it, until a real host states the language.
How do we budget a sourcing week?
Do not divide a degree fee by seven. RMB 488,000 and RMB 198,000 buy named degrees. A sourcing week has no published tuition here. Real costs start only after hosts and classrooms are confirmed by the people who run them.
What should we send if we ask for guidance?
Say whether you need a degree, a classroom, teaching for your own staff, or a supplier visit. For a visit, say that the host is not confirmed unless you already hold a letter. Request Guidance will not create that letter. Find a Suitable Program will not list suppliers.
