Executive Education Short Courses
An executive-education short course is a non-degree classroom a school opens to individual managers, not an MBA and not a company-wide custom programme. CEIBS’s open-enrolment list names topics and dates. It does not name a price, and several of those dates had already passed on 29 October 2026.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
No open-course tuition, certificate title, or teaching language was printed on the list rows we read, so those cells stay blank. A date still in the future is not proof a seat remains. Company-specific programmes are a different contract. DragonTrail does not run these courses and does not hold seats.
At a Glance
| Credential | Non-degree. The CEIBS programme table sets executive education apart from the MBA and EMBA degree rows. Do not call a listed module a master’s because it shares a campus. |
|---|---|
| Host and faculty | Open courses are CEIBS’s, with cities printed on each card, often 上海, sometimes 北京 or 深圳. The executive-education introduction describes faculty-led classes, cases, and discussion. We did not copy instructor names. |
| Work experience | The programme table says the academic minimum is none, and that work experience varies by programme. That is not the MBA’s two-year bar and not the EMBA’s eight-year bar. Read the course you mean. |
| Language | Not stated on the open-list rows we read. The introduction does not assign English, Chinese, or German to each title. Leave the cell blank rather than borrowing the MBA’s “English only” line. |
| Curriculum | The list groups C-suite series, general management, family business, strategy, leadership, negotiation, organisation, marketing, finance, and digital intelligence. A title is not a syllabus. We did not open each brochure. |
| Company access | Not included. These are classrooms. A company visit is not printed on the cards we saw. Custom programmes for one employer live on a different CEIBS page and are not open enrolment. |
| Certificate | Unstated on the list. Some titles say “diploma” (Family Office Diploma Programme) and some do not. We do not generalise one word to every course, and we do not equate any of them with an MBA degree. |
| Schedule | Dates are per course. Examples still ahead of 29 October 2026 included 11 November, 12 November, and 25 November 2026. Examples already past included 21 August, 18 September, and 24 October 2026. Modular titles span months. Confirm the live page. |
| Employer papers | Unknown for open enrolment. The introduction does not list a standard employer form. A manager may still need internal leave approval. That approval is not Bildungsurlaub and not a DragonTrail letter. |
Open Enrolment Is a Calendar, Not a Degree
CEIBS splits executive education into open enrolment, which an individual manager can ask about, and company-specific work, which is built for one employer. This page is only the first. The open list we read on 29 October 2026 carried titles, cities, and dates, plus enquiry and apply links. It did not carry yuan figures. The programme overview says the academic floor for executive education is none and that experience varies. Someone who meets an MBA’s two-year test has not thereby been admitted to a November short course, and someone without a degree has not been barred by a rule this table does not set.
The introduction says open programmes cover general management, leadership, strategy, finance, marketing, and innovation, using classes, cases, and discussion for middle and senior managers. That is a teaching claim, not a seat count. DragonTrail does not take the application. Find a Suitable Program will not show a live CEIBS module. If you need the MBA’s RMB 488,000 or the MiM’s €59,000, you are on a degree page. Those numbers are not short-course fees.
Which Printed Dates Had Already Passed
A list can look bookable when half of it is history. On the day we read it, Strategic Negotiation in Shanghai was dated 21 August 2026. Game Theory in Practice in Shanghai was 18 September 2026. The Beijing programme titled Artificial Intelligence: The Next Frontier of Productivity was 24 October 2026. The CFO programme’s printed date of 26 August 2026 and Corporate Capital Management’s 13 October 2026 were also behind us. Branding Boot Camp dates in February and March 2026 were long past. Advanced Management Programme showed a string of 2026 dates, several of them already gone, and one of 3 December 2026 still ahead. We do not delete the past dates, and we do not call the survivors open.
Dates still ahead of 29 October 2026, as printed, included Women in Leadership in Shanghai on 11 November 2026, Financial Statements Interpretation for Decision-makers in Shanghai on 12 November 2026, Family Office Diploma starting 20 November 2026, and Marketing Strategy in the New Era in Shanghai on 25 November 2026. CMO and CHRO modular lines pointed at 25 August 2027. A future date is a clock. It does not tell you the language, the fee, the certificate name, or whether the cohort is full. CEIBS’s enquiry button is theirs.
Fee, Language, and Certificate Stay Blank on Purpose
Because the list rows did not show a price, this page will not estimate one from the length of the title or from the MBA. A modular C-suite programme that meets over months is not priced like a single Friday, and we did not see either price. Teaching language is the same kind of blank. MBA English and EMBA interpretation rules are for those degrees. An open card that is silent might be Chinese, English, or both. Guessing would be a false constraint.
Certificate wording is also uneven. “Diploma” appears in the Family Office title and must not be pasted onto Strategic Negotiation or a finance morning. We did not open the downloadable brochures, so attendance rules, assessment, and the exact paper you can show an employer are unread. If your company needs a named certificate for its own tuition policy, ask CEIBS what that course issues. A degree parchment is the wrong document to promise them.
Do Not Confuse a Public Date With a Private Contract
Company-specific programmes, on CEIBS’s own description, are designed with the client and can run from two or three days to many months. They are not rows on the open list. A date you see beside “Women in Leadership” is not a workshop your firm has commissioned. The reverse is also true: a custom programme has no public seat for an outsider. Faculty time in a private contract is not a visitor pass to the client’s offices.
That distinction matters for study tours and industry visits. An open course does not include a confirmed plant, lab, or headquarters meeting. If the learning you want is a factory floor, this calendar will disappoint you honestly. Company access on this page is “not part of the open card.” Campus city names — Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen — locate the classroom. They do not locate a supplier.
Time Off Is Your Employer’s Form, Not Theirs
The open-enrolment introduction does not publish a standard employer pack. Many participants will still need a manager’s permission to be away. That permission is an internal HR step. It is not evidence the course is recognized for statutory educational leave. German Bildungsurlaub, for example, depends on the Land where the workplace sits and on recognition we did not see claimed on these CEIBS cards. A November date in Shanghai does not satisfy a rule written for a recognized provider in Hessen.
Short absences can also fail leave statutes that want several consecutive full days of instruction. We did not read daily hours for these titles. Do not tell a works council that a CEIBS open course qualifies until the recognizing body, or the employer’s own policy, says so. DragonTrail will not stamp that form. The contact button on this site only starts a conversation about which contract you are comparing.
How to Use the List Without Booking Through Us
Pick one title, write down its city and its printed date, and then open CEIBS’s page again before you spend money. If the date is past, look for a later run rather than asking us to honour the old one. If the date is future, ask the school for language, fee, daily hours, and the certificate name — the four blanks this page keeps. Compare that answer with a degree only if you actually want a degree. The experience bars are different, and so are the outcomes.
Related routes on this cluster cover negotiation, finance, marketing, and leadership as subjects. They use the same list. They do not uncover hidden prices. A custom programme for your whole team is the corporate-learning page, and it still will not be a DragonTrail proposal that binds CEIBS. Find a Suitable Program and Request Guidance remain comparison tools. Neither one enrolls a short course.

FAQ
Are CEIBS open programmes MBA courses?
No. They sit in executive education, which the programme table treats separately from degree rows. Academic minimum is listed as none, and experience varies by course. The MBA has its own work floor and its own RMB 488,000 tuition. That tuition is not the short-course price.
How much does a short course cost?
The open-enrolment list we read on 29 October 2026 did not show fees. We will not estimate from the MBA, the EMBA, or the length of a title. Ask CEIBS for the current brochure of the one course you mean, and keep that quote tied to the date on the brochure.
Which courses were already in the past?
Among dates printed on the list, 21 August 2026 (Strategic Negotiation), 18 September 2026 (Game Theory in Practice), 24 October 2026 (the Beijing AI programme), and 26 August 2026 (CFO) had passed by our review date. A past date is not a seat we can reopen.
Which dates were still ahead?
Printed dates after 29 October 2026 included 11 November (Women in Leadership), 12 November (Financial Statements Interpretation), 20 November (Family Office Diploma), 25 November (Marketing Strategy), and 3 December (one Advanced Management date), plus some modular lines in 2027. Ahead is not the same as available.
What language are the short courses taught in?
The rows we read did not say. Do not assume the MBA’s English rule or the Chinese EMBA’s interpretation rule. Language is one of the blanks to confirm on the course brochure before you travel.
Will I visit a company during the course?
Not on the cards we saw. Open enrolment is classroom learning. Company-specific programmes are private contracts with one employer and are not public seats. No plant, lab, or headquarters was confirmed for these titles.
What certificate do I receive?
It was not stated row by row. One title includes the word diploma. Others do not. We did not open the brochures, so attendance rules and the exact paper are unknown. Do not promise an employer an MBA parchment for a short course.
Can I use educational leave for a Shanghai module?
Only if the recognizing body for your workplace says that course qualifies. CEIBS’s list does not claim Bildungsurlaub or any other statutory leave. Your manager’s permission to travel is a separate, internal decision. DragonTrail cannot certify either one.
