Business School Study Tours
A business-school study tour is a short, non-degree trip built around classrooms and company meetings. DragonTrail does not publish one. The CEIBS pages we read describe degrees, open courses, and private programmes for a client’s own staff, and they do not name a tour host you can book.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
No confirmed company, factory, or campus-visit calendar is held by DragonTrail. CEIBS’s Integrated China Strategy Project mentions a real company and does not name it. Dates on the open-course list are classes, not coach itineraries. Treat any sample week you have seen elsewhere as someone else’s draft until a host agrees in writing.
At a Glance
| Credential | Non-degree, if it exists at all as a tour. A study tour is not an MBA, not an EMBA, and not the Global MiM. If a school later awards a certificate, that paper is theirs and was not in our file. |
|---|---|
| Host and faculty | Unconfirmed. A foreign school’s own China module uses that school’s faculty and its own contacts. CEIBS faculty time is not a tour we can attach. We name no professor and no company. |
| Work experience | Not set, because there is no public tour to apply to. Degree bars (two years, eight years, or almost none) belong to those degrees. Do not import them into a one-week trip. |
| Language | Unknown until a real programme exists. Interpretation is a cost and a skill, not a default. The MBA’s English classroom does not describe a tour. |
| Curriculum | We will not print a fake day-by-day. A honest skeleton is classroom time, a meeting only if a host has agreed, and free time that is not disguised as a company visit. CEIBS open courses are the classroom piece, and only on their dates. |
| Company access | Not confirmed. No plant, headquarters, port, or lab is on offer. A past CEIBS client is not a stop. The strategy project’s unnamed company is for enrolled MBA students, not for a visiting cohort. |
| Certificate | None is published for a DragonTrail tour, because the tour does not exist here. An open-course certificate, if CEIBS issues one, covers that course only. It does not cover site visits that did not happen. |
| Schedule | No departure date. Open-enrolment dates such as 12 November 2026 are single-course clocks in 上海. They are not the start of a multi-city tour. Do not build flights on them. |
| Employer papers | A visiting group’s university may need liability forms and a faculty lead. That pack was not opened, because we are not selling the trip. An employer sending staff still needs its own leave approval. We do not supply a host letter. |
The Itinerary You Want Is Not on File
Search results for business school study tours in China often show a week in 上海 and 深圳 with three company meetings and a lecture. That shape is familiar. It is not a product on this site. DragonTrail has no sample itinerary, no confirmed host, and no faculty roster for such a week. Printing one would look helpful and would be false. A campus photo is not a booking.
What we can point to are neighbouring contracts that people confuse with a tour. CEIBS open enrolment is a classroom on a printed date. Company-specific programmes are private classes for one firm’s employees. The full-time MBA includes China Modules, overseas modules, and a project with an unnamed company, for students already admitted. None of those is a seat for a visiting MBA class from another school. If your dean wants a week for thirty students, the host schools and the companies still have to agree. We cannot agree for them.
Why a Client List Is Not a Stop List
Some executive-education pages name firms that have hired a school to teach their own managers. Those sentences prove a past classroom relationship. They do not prove the firm will receive a student group, allow photos, or discuss sourcing. We do not copy the names onto this page. Repeating them would create a false host list. Company access stays “not confirmed” until a letter from that organisation says otherwise, for your dates, for your group size.
The MBA FAQ’s Integrated China Strategy Project is the same kind of trap. It is a three-month consulting engagement with a real company. The company is unnamed, the work is for enrolled students, and the length is a term, not a Thursday afternoon. Career treks, including a mention of Hong Kong, are career services inside the degree. They are not a city pair you can buy. Global EMBA modules in many countries are for Global EMBA participants. A study tour that “joins the EMBA for a day” is not offered on the page we read.
Do Not Borrow an Open-Course Date
On 29 October 2026 the CEIBS open list still showed future classrooms, including finance on 12 November and marketing on 25 November, both in Shanghai, and it showed many dates already past. A visiting group cannot assume those rooms have thirty extra chairs, or that the topic matches the group’s syllabus, or that the language fits. The list did not show a fee either. Building a tour budget from a blank price plus invented company meetings produces a number nobody can honour.
Degree intakes are worse raw material for a tour calendar. The MBA’s Round 1 on 2 December 2026 is an application deadline for a 16-month degree. The Global EMBA’s November intake is a two-year part-time start, and the year was not clearly an open seat. The MiM’s 2026 rounds are over. None of those clocks is a week-long departure. Flights booked against them will not match a classroom that was never scheduled for visitors.
What a Real Tour Brief Has to Admit
If a school later designs a tour, the brief should separate four lines that this cluster keeps apart: a campus visit, a corporate visit, a short course, and a degree. Only the short course has public CEIBS dates, and even those are not your dates until the school confirms seats. A corporate visit needs a named host, a maximum headcount, a language, and a rule about photography and questions. Until that host exists, the agenda should say “meeting not confirmed” rather than a brand name. Faculty need a named institution. “Local expert” is not a name we will invent.
Language, certificate, and work-experience rules are blank because the tour is blank. A group of MBA students already enrolled elsewhere does not need CEIBS’s two-year work bar, and they also do not receive CEIBS’s degree. A certificate, if any, might be a letter of attendance from whoever actually taught. Employer or university paperwork — insurance, a faculty lead, a code of conduct — belongs to the travelling institution. We did not open a template. Educational leave for an employee who tags along is a home-country question, not a feature of a study tour.
Costs You Should Not Pretend to Know
Without hosts, a tuition line would be fiction. The only money figures in this cluster are degree stickers and a dorm figure of around RMB 3,300 a month on the CEIBS MBA fee pages, plus CUCAS service fees that are irrelevant to a one-week tour. Do not divide RMB 488,000 by the number of days and call it a tour price. Do not use the MiM’s €59,000. Living costs in 上海 are real and are not itemised here. Cost of Studying is a general planning hub, not a tour quote.
A custom programme’s unpublished fee is also the wrong analogue. That fee buys teaching for the client’s employees under a contract. It does not buy entrance to a supplier. If a vendor offers you a complete tour with named factories at a single price, ask which letter confirms each name. This page cannot validate that letter. DragonTrail is not the operator of those visits.
A Careful Next Step
Write down the group’s school, the week you hope to travel, the language, and whether you need classrooms only or company meetings as well. Then expect company meetings to stay unmarked until a host agrees. Use the executive-education page if a published CEIBS classroom is actually what you want, and use the corporate page only if the travellers are one company’s own managers. Use the MBA page if someone in the group wants a degree instead of a week.
Find a Suitable Program organises study routes. Request Guidance can hear the brief. Neither button builds an itinerary or confirms a company in 上海, 北京, or 深圳. If a later school page publishes a real China module with named hosts, cite that page and its date. Do not ask this one to stand in for it.

These pages were read on 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). Tuition, language rules, and application windows change, and several dates on them have already passed. A CUCAS card is CUCAS’s listing. Use the current page from the school, or from the body that recognizes educational leave, before you act.

FAQ
Does DragonTrail run business school study tours?
No. There is no itinerary, host list, or departure date on this site. Pages about CEIBS describe that school’s degrees, open courses, and private client programmes. They do not admit a visiting cohort from another school.
Can you name companies that accept student groups?
No. Company access is not confirmed. We do not repeat firms that appear as executive-education clients, because a past classroom contract is not a visitor pass. The MBA project’s “real company” is unnamed and is for enrolled students.
Can our group join an open-enrolment course?
Only if CEIBS says that course has seats, in the right language, on that date. Public dates are not reserved for tours. Several 2026 dates had already passed on 29 October 2026. A future date is still not a multi-company itinerary.
Is a China Module the same as a study tour?
No. CEIBS describes China Modules and overseas modules as part of the full-time MBA for its own students. They are not a week you can add for a visiting class. The length and the admissions bar belong to the degree.
What would a certificate say?
Nothing, on current DragonTrail materials, because no tour is offered. A certificate from a school that actually teaches a day would cover that day only. It would not be an MBA, and it would not document company meetings that were never confirmed.
How should we budget?
Do not derive a tour price from degree tuition. RMB 488,000, RMB 198,000, and €59,000 are stickers for named degrees and named classes. A tour budget needs real classrooms and real hosts. Those lines are blank here. Living costs are separate.
Who handles employer or university paperwork?
The travelling university or the employer. We did not open their forms, and we cannot issue a host letter. Permission to miss work is an internal decision. Statutory educational leave depends on a recognizing body we did not see attached to any tour.
What can we ask DragonTrail?
You can ask us to help separate a degree, a short course, and a visit. You cannot ask us to confirm a factory, a robotics lab, or a headquarters meeting. Request Guidance does not become a group contract with CEIBS.
