The snow is shared. The trips are not.

People picture one China ski holiday and then discover the gateway decides the week. A lesson from a Beijing hotel is a day with a driver. Chongli is a resort stay with a station to get right before you buy the train ticket. Xinjiang and the Northeast ask for nights that are not ski days. Xiling, west of Chengdu, only becomes a ski trip after the mountain confirms it is operating.

Beijing

Chongli, Hebei

Usually a multi-night ski stay. Choose the resort and hotel before buying rail tickets; the two stations serve different bases.

Xinjiang

Four to six days for a single-base outline; longer for combinations. Silk Road is near Ürümqi; Altay, Fuyun and Hemu need separate travel planning.

Northeast China

Three or four nights for a single-resort outline. Harbin/Yabuli, Jilin and Changbaishan are separate bases, not one short ski circuit.

Sichuan

A focused day trip or two-day mountain stay. Confirm ski operation first; mountain snow and scenic admission do not establish skiing.
