North is up. 18 Xiling ski area is west of Chengdu. Dayi railway station lies between the city region and the mountain region. CTU Shuangliu Airport is southwest of central Chengdu; TFU Tianfu Airport is a separate airport farther southeast.
The mountain-access inset has its own scale. It locates the ski plateau, Yuanyangchi access cable-car upper station, and the lower station farther east. It is not a detailed operating cableway map. Check cable-car operation and last descent; do not confuse the ski approach with the Dafeishui hiking entrance.
The process strip shows road arrival, then mountain access, then equipment / ski admission. It expresses the order of stages, not a route alignment. A car drop-off is not the end of the journey, and skiing and scenic / cable-car admission require separate checks.
Approximate feature-area locations are not precise ski entrances or terminal pickup points. No road routes, driving times, current openings or guaranteed connections are encoded. Not for navigation.

The previous winter opened for skiing on 6 January 2026. That historical date illustrates why December snow scenery is not a ski guarantee. If the ski operation is unavailable, any proposed change to a scenic visit needs your agreement, different inclusions and a revised quote.
Name the ski-area entrance, not Dafeishui hiking access. Allow for the access cable car, queues, rental fitting, equipment return and descent. Dayi station, central Chengdu, Shuangliu Airport and Tianfu Airport need different route plans.
One day leaves less time after the road and mountain-access stages. An overnight can work if the hotel's cable-car access and arrival cutoff fit. Agree a weather disruption plan and avoid attaching an essential same-evening flight to a mountain day.

Xiling is a short mountain-stay candidate within a Chengdu holiday. Snow on the mountain and an operating ski area are different things; choose the trip around confirmed skiing rather than a snowfall photograph.
