Door-to-door travel and precise rail stations

Editorial driving allowances: 1½–2½ hours from central Beijing, 1–1½ hours from PEK and 2½–3½ hours from PKX. Confirm the terminal, hotel and entrance; flight processing and exceptional road delays are extra.

Published bus guidance uses the 916 express toward Huairou and a local connection to Jiugukou. Verify the current interchange and return service. Huairou South, Huairou North and Yanqi Lake are different rail stations; price a transfer from the actual booked stop, not a generic Huairou pickup.

A Beijing day or Huairou overnight

Target established midwinter operations, with open terrain checked for your date. Early snowmaking and spring thaw can limit the offer. Past night sessions do not confirm a 2026–27 evening schedule.

A Beijing hotel works for one day. For two days, compare Huairou, Yanqi Lake or bookable resort cabins by heating, meals and the ski-entrance journey. Confirm lesson language and children's eligibility, rental sizes, deposits and separate items such as gloves or goggles.

Keep the Great Wall visit separate

Leave early, fit equipment, take a morning lesson, lunch indoors and practise in the afternoon. Return to Beijing or stay in Huairou. With an overnight, place Mutianyu on day two subject to winter access, instead of squeezing it between ski sessions.
