Genting Secret Garden, also called Yunding Snow Park, has a direct Beijing 2022 freestyle and snowboarding connection. Olympic features are not ordinary beginner terrain and may be unavailable for public use.

An event can be interesting to watch while also changing parking, hotel demand and available pistes. Ask which closures affect your dates and whether spectator access is separate.
Winter allowances beyond event-driving estimates
A FIS organizer invitation gives about 220 km from PEK and 260 km from PKX. More conservative visitor planning allowances are 3–4 hours from PEK or central Beijing, 3½–5 hours from PKX, and 1–1½ hours from ZQZ when a suitable flight operates. Taizicheng is the usual rail approach: provisionally 1–1½ hours on a Beijing service, then 15–25 minutes by road plus waiting. A hotel entrance and ski-service entrance may differ; verify the actual drop-off and ski-bag capacity.
Resort accommodation and current access
Genting's accommodation page identifies the Grand Hotel but mixes some Games-era facility descriptions with hotel information. Confirm current rooms, meals and access onto snow rather than treating the historical media-centre description as a guest inventory. Official hotel information

Two or three days with time to orient
Arrive on the first afternoon. Spend the next day skiing or taking a lesson, with Olympic sightseeing confined to permitted areas. A third day can provide useful practice without another hotel move. Changing resorts is worthwhile only after accounting for transport and equipment handling.
