Best day of week
Tuesday-Thursday quietest (Saturday-Sunday double crowds). Wednesday is the absolute sweet spot - mid-week, no holiday backlog. Friday is moderate. The Summer Palace doesn't close on Mondays (unlike the Forbidden City), so Monday works as a clean alternative when the FC is closed - effectively making Monday a high-value SP day for Beijing visitors.
