Technology Tours in China

Private technology travel and professional learning journeys start from the same question: what do you want to understand, and which city can show it without promising access that still needs a host?

The idea

Products, markets, museums and visitor programmes

Meet a robot on a shop floor, look at the design of an electric car, or spend time on how an idea reaches production. Some experiences are as approachable as a department-store visit. Others need a timed reservation, an accepted professional brief, or a trip planned around an annual event.

A technology day can sit inside a holiday, or it can be the reason for a longer journey. The city guides explain what is a public visit, what needs an advance reservation, and what depends on host approval. This page is where you choose a path, then ask for a plan.

Private technology travel

Make space for a technology day within your holiday, or build a longer trip around hardware, robotics and mobility. Start with the existing Shenzhen day tour, or compare the five city guides before requesting a route.

Professional learning journeys

Bring a clear question and build the programme around it. Public experiences, reserved visitor sessions and appointments you have already confirmed can form a focused journey. A professional group does not create privileged access.

Who it is for

Find your way in

Curious travellers and families

Start with public robot stores, interactive exhibitions and visitor-friendly showrooms. Add one technology stop to a city trip. Check age rules, language support and whether a demonstration runs during your visit.

Enthusiasts, makers and students

Look at product design, robotics applications and the path from prototype to production. Bookable visitor sessions and annual exhibitions can give a trip a theme. Workshops and production visits need their own confirmation.

Professional teams and learning groups

Begin with the questions the team needs to answer. Company meetings, incubator visits and working sites depend on host acceptance and a suitable brief. Supervised school groups continue through Study.

Five cities

Different perspectives, not one checklist

Each card is a different way in. Open the guide for access rules, then use the action that matches the service we actually arrange.

Beijing

Approachable robot retail, E-Town venues that need a reservation, and innovation exhibitions in Haidian. A published application is not a booking. DragonTrail can plan private transport around a confirmed visit.

Hangzhou

Reserved robot exhibitions and arranged industrial demonstrations, kept inside a wider Hangzhou stay. A public programme is not a meeting with engineers. Corporate campuses need their own approval.

Shanghai

Central-city robot retail, hands-on AI products in Zhangjiang, and reserved automotive visits in Anting. Jing’an, Zhangjiang and Anting are separate days. This is a guide and a tailored inquiry, not a fixed guided tour.

Guangzhou

Vehicle technology, public manufacturer-tour programmes and Nansha’s robot 6S hub. Choose one district. A company name is not an itinerary stop, and transport is arranged as a private driver.

Journey ideas

Sample routes, quoted for your dates

These are private route shapes to discuss. They are not scheduled departures, and they do not include every service unless the proposal says so.

Greater Bay Area

Shenzhen’s hardware and robotics, then Guangzhou’s mobility exhibitions or an available manufacturer-tour session. Intercity travel is counted separately. This is a route to quote, not a scheduled departure.

Shanghai and Hangzhou

Shanghai’s AI products and industrial perspective with Hangzhou’s robotics exhibitions. Choose a few experiences that complement each other. Pace depends on your dates and confirmed sessions.

A technology day in a wider trip

Add one meaningful technology stop to a trip that already includes Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou or Shanghai. If a session is already confirmed, send its location and time so the surrounding travel can fit it.

Professional learning

A useful programme begins with better questions

What does the team need to understand: how a product reaches customers, where robotics is being used, how a manufacturing process works, or how an innovation district supports new businesses? Share objectives, cities, approximate dates and group size. Passport scans and confidential company material are not needed on the first inquiry.

Procurement and delegation logistics continue through Business travel. Curriculum-led or supervised school groups use Study groups.

Discuss a China technology trip

Share your dates, group size and the technology you would like to understand. The proposal will show what is included and which visits still need confirmation. Nothing is charged on the inquiry.
