Finish these before the flight
| Topic | What to confirm | Who owns it |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Rule that matches the passport | Immigration sources |
| Slot | Written campus and time | The facility |
| Papers and medicines | Packed in the cabin bag | You |
| Ground plan | Hotel and a movable transfer | You or a coordination quote |
Finish entry, records, medicines, and a written appointment before you treat the flight as fixed. Then leave a buffer night.
What should be finished before we go to the airport?
Work through the other guides rather than a single vague list. Visas and entry, records, medicines, and insurance questions each have a job. This page is the order: do not fly on a verbal hospital slot.
Print the appointment email, the hotel name, and the campus address in Chinese on one sheet a driver can hold. Put the same sheet in the companion’s bag. Charge a power bank. Mainland sockets differ from many home plugs; bring an adapter you have already tested.
The trip planner is a worksheet for destination, dates, provider-confirmed slots, accommodation, and a companion. It is not a symptom checker and it does not book the hospital. Use it if a form helps you see gaps. A buffer night in the arrival city is a travel habit, not a clinical order. If your clinician named a longer rest, use their number.
Tell a person at home the hotel and the international desk number. Leave them a copy of the non-clinical itinerary. Do not leave them the only copy of a disc password that you also need at the hospital.
What to write down
- Entry rule checked for every passport on the trip
- Written appointment with campus address in Chinese
- Records packed the way the facility asked
- Medicines in the cabin bag with the letter
- Insurer reply, if you needed one
- Hotel and transfer that can move by a day
- Someone at home has the hotel name

Questions people ask
- No. It is travel preparation. Your clinician decides whether you should fly.
- No. It is optional. The appointment email and this list are enough to see what is missing.
- At least do not put the appointment on the landing day if the transfer is long. If a clinician wrote a number, use that.
- If it is entry permission or a written slot, wait. If it is a spare adapter, solve it in the arrival city.
Talk to the medical desk
The medical desk coordinates logistics after a facility has its own plan. It does not diagnose, quote a treatment, or decide entry.
