Ward questions
| Topic | What to confirm | Who owns it |
|---|---|---|
| Overnight companion | Yes, no, or a hotel nearby | The ward |
| Food and toiletries | What they provide | The ward |
| Hotel | Nights the companion is not housed | Accommodation quote or your booking |
| Discharge | When papers are ready | The ward, on the day |
Visitor hours, food, valuables, and whether a companion can sleep in the room are facility rules. Ask that ward. Do not copy another hospital’s habit.
What should we ask the ward before an overnight stay?
When the facility confirms an admission, ask for visitor hours, the number of companions allowed, and whether anyone may stay overnight. Ask what the room provides and what you should bring: toiletries, a charger, slippers, a list of medicines. Ask whether food from outside is allowed. Ask where to keep a passport and a phone. Write the answers next to the admission date.
A hotel near the campus is a different product from a ward bed. Accommodation is a coordination task for a room, not a hospital bed. Hospital accompaniment is someone who goes with you to desks and appointments. Neither task is nursing, and neither one watches a clinical condition.
On Hainan, sleep near the campus you were given. Boao and Lecheng describe the east-coast geography. A resort night in Sanya is a different trip if the ward is in Boao. The itinerary page is about buffer days around the appointment, not about sightseeing during an admission.
Discharge morning is part of the stay. Ask when they expect papers to be ready and whether the companion must be present. Plan the car after that hour, not before. We do not publish another hospital’s discharge time as if it were yours.

Questions people ask
- No. The facility assigns beds. We can book a hotel around the dates they gave you.
- Ask that ward. Some allow a cot, some send the companion to a hotel, some allow daytime visits only.
- No. Accompaniment is logistics: desks, timing, and wayfinding. Clinical observation stays with the hospital.
- Not on a day the ward expects you or the companion to be present. Use a later day if everyone is able and the facility agrees.
Talk to the medical desk
The medical desk coordinates logistics after a facility has its own plan. It does not diagnose, quote a treatment, or decide entry.
