Pharmacy Study

Pharmacy study in China, on the pages we opened, is a set of degree names at 上海中医药大学 and a possible short visit for pharmacists at 邵逸夫医院. The education page does not print a fee for Chinese materia medica or for the China-UK pharmaceutical programme. DragonTrail does not offer either seat.

Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).

Do not move the CNY 42,000 acupuncture tuition, or the master’s CNY 34,000 to CNY 60,000 table, onto the China-UK joint programme. That joint programme’s fee was not on the page. A visit, if the hospital accepts a pharmacist near the end of training, is not a pharmacy licence and not a dispensing shift.

At a Glance

Names on the listBachelor: Chinese Materia Medica, and Pharmaceutical Science (China-UK joint programme). Doctoral: Chinese Materia Medica. Professional master’s: Chinese Materia Medica. All of these are names on the English education page. Fees are not beside them.
Acupuncture feeCNY 42,000 a year is the English TCM acupuncture bachelor, prospectus ENB2026900511. It is not a pharmacy fee.
Master’s tableCNY 34,000 to CNY 60,000 a year depends on language and full-time status in the 2026 master’s prospectus. It applies to majors in that prospectus, not automatically to the UK joint bachelor.
Catalog gapEnglish-taught master’s mentors are in an attachment we did not open. We do not claim a pharmaceutics supervisor is listed.
Pharmacist visit邵逸夫医院 names pharmacists among people it will consider for two weeks to three months, near the end of the degree.
Visit costAccepted rotation fee waived on Shaw’s English questions. Housing and meals are not waived. Zhejiang’s school-level page says the student pays all expenses. Use the page of the hospital you actually write to.
LanguageNot printed for the China-UK programme. Chinese-taught master’s study needs HSK 5 at 180 or above on the SHUTCM prospectus.
DispensingNot authorised. Nothing we opened allows you to dispense or counsel patients.
LicenceHome pharmacy registration is outside these pages. A joint programme’s name does not register you in the UK or in China.

Read the Pharmacy Names as Names

上海中医药大学’s English education page puts Chinese materia medica in more than one place: a first-level doctoral discipline, a professional master’s, and a bachelor’s degree, plus a separate bachelor line called Pharmaceutical Science (China-UK joint programme). It also names a national demonstration centre for Chinese materia medica. Those lines tell you the school teaches the field. They do not tell you the international fee, the intake month, the language of the UK joint classes, or whether a 2026 cohort exists. The page footer says 2017. Treat the list as a map that may be older than the prospectus PDFs.

The 2026 document we did open for undergraduates is the English acupuncture degree, not pharmacy. It is five years, three trimesters, a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine, CSCA mathematics in English, and CNY 42,000 a year. A pharmacist who pays that fee has paid for acupuncture study. The transfer would be a mistake even if the bank accepted it. The admissions integrity line and the hotline 021-51322410 belong to that school’s admissions process. They are not a pharmacy advice line run by DragonTrail.

The China-UK Line Has No Fee in This Review

A joint programme is where people most often invent a number, because the foreign partner sounds like a price. The education page does not name the UK university, the year of the agreement, the campus, or the fee. We will not supply a British tuition from memory, and we will not split CNY 42,000 in half and call it the joint fee. If you need that programme, ask 上海中医药大学 for the current international sheet and read the partner’s name on that sheet before you tell anyone you have a UK award.

Credit and registration are the second trap. A joint teaching arrangement, even when it is real, does not by itself put you on a UK pharmacy register or a Chinese one. The education page does not say the graduate may practise. The recognition page of this cluster explains the same limit for medicine: an accreditor’s status is not your licence. Pharmacy councils are separate bodies. Write to the council you care about, with the exact award title, once a school has offered you that title.

Use the Master’s Table Only Inside the Master’s Prospectus

If your route is a master’s at this university rather than the UK bachelor, the 2026 prospectus No. ENM2026900311 is the fee page. Full-time Chinese-taught study is CNY 34,000 a year. Part-time Chinese-taught study is CNY 51,000. Full-time English or Japanese is CNY 51,000. Part-time English or Japanese is CNY 60,000. The fee covers lectures, clinical internship, tutor instruction, and thesis review. It does not cover books, housing, or the CNY 800 insurance. A cooperation agreement, if you are admitted under one, prevails over the table. We have not read such an agreement, so we do not know whether any pharmacy cohort has one.

You still need a mentor from the catalog, one only, and a summary test. Applicants without a TCM background need a medicine or related-science degree. A pharmacy bachelor can fit “related science” and can also fail the mentor’s own standard. The prospectus expects you to be able to study and do research. It does not reserve a lab. Applications for that 2026 cycle closed on 15 May 2026. English-taught full-time classes need five students. HSK 5 at 180 is the Chinese-taught bar. English-taught study has no Chinese minimum and does require TOEFL 90 or IELTS 6.5 for non-native speakers.

A Pharmacist’s Hospital Weeks Are Separate

邵逸夫医院’s English training page lists pharmacists with medical students, residents, nurses, and other healthcare workers. The period is two weeks to three months. People who are not medical students should be near the end of the degree. The hospital prefers six months’ notice and first-come acceptance. The elective page asks for a form, a CV, and a university recommendation letter to wangmy@srrsh.com. That file is a request to learn, including by observation. It is not a posting in the dispensary.

Two money sentences must stay apart. Shaw says the accepted rotation is free and the rest is yours, and that insurance is your choice. The Zhejiang University school page, which also tells pharmacy-adjacent readers to contact a hospital coordinator, says students need funds for all expenses and must arrange insurance. A pharmacist who writes only to Shaw should wait for Shaw. The school page’s “all expenses” line is not cancelled by Shaw’s “free rotation” line. Housing after acceptance is your booking. The hospital tells you to start that booking once you are accepted, not before.

No Dispensing, No Patient Advice from This Page

Pharmacy practice is regulated because the advice changes what people swallow. This study page will not blur that. Nothing in the SHUTCM degree list, the master’s tuition sentence about clinical internship, or Shaw’s observation language authorises you to dispense, to check a chart, or to tell a patient how to take a medicine. If a later letter from a hospital allows a defined learning task, that letter is the limit, and it still is not a licence. Unrestricted patient contact is outside anything we are willing to describe as available.

Shaw will write an evaluation after the period, following your school’s form. Send that form’s requirements to the hospital if your school needs them. Do not send patient names to DragonTrail. We do not store a clinical record, and we do not need one to explain a study route.

Separate the Joint Bachelor, the Master’s, and the Visit

Three routes are now easy to confuse because they share a school or a hospital. The China-UK bachelor has a name and no fee in this review. The master’s has a fee table and a catalog we did not open. The Shaw visit has a public email and a free-rotation sentence that applies only if they accept you. Pick one before you ask for guidance. A blended ask (“a UK pharmacy degree with hospital dispensing in Hangzhou”) is three contracts, and we do not hold any of them.

The buttons below open the study-route page and a guidance form. Use them to sort the contract. They do not pay CNY 800 to SHUTCM and they do not email wangmy@srrsh.com for you.

These pages were read on 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). Tuition, language rules, and application windows change, and the 2026 windows on the school pages had already closed. A CUCAS card is CUCAS’s listing. The World Directory of Medical Schools did not return a directory page. The Campus China address named in a scholarship paragraph did not open. A hospital email printed by a university is that university’s contact. It is not a placement DragonTrail has confirmed, and it is not permission to examine a patient.

FAQ

What is the tuition for pharmacy in China?

There is no single figure on the pages we opened. Chinese materia medica and the China-UK pharmaceutical bachelor are named without fees. CNY 42,000 is the English acupuncture bachelor. The master’s range of CNY 34,000 to CNY 60,000 is the 2026 SHUTCM master’s table, and only for programmes that table covers.

Is the China-UK programme a British pharmacy degree?

The education page does not say that. It does not name the partner university or a registering body. Do not describe it as UK registration. Ask the school for the current agreement and then ask the council you care about.

Can a pharmacist do a clinical visit at Shaw Hospital?

You may apply. The hospital lists pharmacists, asks that non-medical students be near the end of the degree, and prefers six months’ notice. Acceptance is not guaranteed and is not a dispensing job. The public address is wangmy@srrsh.com.

Does master’s tuition cover a clinical internship for pharmacists?

The prospectus says tuition covers lectures, clinical internship, tutor instruction, and thesis review, and that books, housing, and insurance are extra. It does not define the internship tasks and does not say every major includes time in a dispensary.

Which HSK score is required?

HSK 5 at 180 or above is required for Chinese-taught master’s study on the SHUTCM prospectus, with an exception if you were educated in Chinese and the school accepts that. English-taught master’s study sets no Chinese minimum. The China-UK bachelor line has no language rule on the page we opened.

Had applications closed?

The 2026 master’s deadline of 15 May 2026 and the English acupuncture deadline of 30 June 2026 had passed by 29 October 2026. We did not find a separate open window for the China-UK pharmacy bachelor.

Will this let me work as a pharmacist?

No. Study planning is not registration. A degree title, a visit, and a licence are three outcomes. This page covers the first two only as public information, and it does not grant the third.

Can DragonTrail reserve a pharmacy lab or dispensary?

No. We have no lab roster and no dispensary shifts. Guidance stops at reading the public pages and helping you choose which institution to ask.

Compare study routes, or tell us the credential, the teaching language, and whether a home school must nominate you. Neither button admits you to a medical school, confirms a hospital, or licenses you to practice.
