Health Checkups: Visit Planning

A checkup visit is a scheduled set of tests a provider offers. This page is about the day around that appointment, not about what the tests mean.

DragonTrail coordinates travel and logistics. We do not provide medical care.

This category is not a diagnosis. It does not say that a test, a treatment, or a trip is appropriate. The provider decides that.

Purpose of the visit

People use this category when they want a provider to run an exam they have already asked for: bloodwork, imaging, or a physician review. It is not a disease visit and it is not a treatment plan. If the person traveling is a child, use the pediatric page instead.

Questions for the provider

Ask the provider. These are not answers from DragonTrail.

  • What is included in the visit you are offering, and what is billed separately by you?
  • Do I need to fast, and from what time?
  • When do you explain results, and do I need to stay in the city for that conversation?
  • Which language will the clinician use, and may a companion come in?
  • Which earlier results should I bring, and which will you repeat?

Institutional access

A checkup can be offered by many kinds of hospitals. We do not match you to one, and we do not publish a menu of panels or prices. Name the city on the destination page, then ask the hospital whether it will book this visit.

Verification pending: which hospitals will see an international visitor for this purpose. The hospital directory is not a ranking and not a list of partners.

Papers and preparation

Do not attach full medical records in the first note to DragonTrail. The provider says which papers they want, and in which language. Record translation is a separate coordination task.

  • A list of medicines and supplements you already take, written by you, not interpreted by us.
  • Earlier lab or imaging reports only if the provider asks for them.
  • The passport name that must match the booking.

Travel considerations

Fasting pushes breakfast and the first transfer earlier than a sightseeing day. Do not put a flight in the same morning as a blood draw unless the provider has said the visit is finished. Results that come back the next day mean a second night, which the quote should show.
