This category is not a diagnosis. It does not say that a test, a treatment, or a trip is appropriate. The provider decides that.
Purpose of the visit
Use this category only when a cancer consult is the reason for the trip. A general checkup is a different page. DragonTrail does not match patients to oncology departments and does not describe prognosis.
Questions for the provider
Ask the provider. These are not answers from DragonTrail.
- Which imaging and pathology must arrive before you will set a time?
- Is the first visit a conversation, or do you also schedule tests?
- How many days should I keep free because you may add a test?
- May a companion attend, and in what language is the consult?
- Who tells me the next step, you or another department?
Institutional access
Oncology may sit inside a general hospital. We do not publish a list of cancer centers and we do not claim any hospital here accepts international cancer consults. That is verification pending with the hospital.

Papers and preparation
Do not attach full medical records in the first note to DragonTrail. The provider says which papers they want, and in which language. Record translation is a separate coordination task.
- A file list the provider has asked for, not a file list we invent.
- Copies of imaging on the media the provider specifies.
- The name and phone of the clinician at home, if you want them to receive a letter. Sending it is the provider’s job.
Travel considerations
Keep extra nights. A consult can turn into another test day, and we will not guess how many. Do not put a nonrefundable flight the next morning. A companion is worth naming in the quote because records and translation are heavy. We do not promise a result.
