Pediatric Care: Visit Planning
The child does not travel alone for this purpose. Bring the adult who can consent, and say so in the plan request.
DragonTrail coordinates travel and logistics. We do not provide medical care.
This category is not a diagnosis. It does not say that a test, a treatment, or a trip is appropriate. The provider decides that.
Purpose of the visit
Use this category when the patient is a child. An adult checkup is a different page. DragonTrail does not treat children and does not say a trip is appropriate for a child.
Questions for the provider
Ask the provider. These are not answers from DragonTrail.
- Which adult must attend, and what proof of guardianship do you require?
- How long should we keep the day free?
- May a sibling wait in the room, or do we need a second adult?
- Which records do you want, and in which language?
- Is this one visit or will you add tests that extend the stay?
Institutional access
Children’s hospitals and pediatric departments are different institutions. We do not rank them and we have not confirmed which named hospitals accept international pediatric visits.
Verification pending: which hospitals will see an international visitor for this purpose. The hospital directory is not a ranking and not a list of partners.
Papers and preparation
Do not attach full medical records in the first note to DragonTrail. The provider says which papers they want, and in which language. Record translation is a separate coordination task.
- The child’s passport and the guardian’s passport.
- Whatever consent paper the provider requires. We do not supply a legal form.
- A second adult’s plan if another child is traveling too.
Travel considerations
Stairs, strollers, and long waits matter more than they do for an adult. Ask for a hotel and a car that can take the guardian, the child, and any equipment. Do not stack sightseeing on the appointment day. School holidays do not make the visit shorter.
