Rehabilitation: Visit Planning

A rehab stay is lodging plus a ride on many days. It is not a package of therapy we design.

DragonTrail coordinates travel and logistics. We do not provide medical care.

This category is not a diagnosis. It does not say that a test, a treatment, or a trip is appropriate. The provider decides that.

Purpose of the visit

Use this category when a provider has already said the traveler will attend rehabilitation sessions. An orthopedic consult, before anyone has agreed to a course of sessions, is a different page. DragonTrail does not provide therapy.

Questions for the provider

Ask the provider. These are not answers from DragonTrail.

  • How many sessions are you proposing, and on which weekdays?
  • How long is each session?
  • What kind of transfer do you expect between lodging and the unit?
  • Who must accompany the traveler?
  • What will you not start until you have seen the records?

Institutional access

Rehabilitation units are not the same as the orthopedic clinic that may have made a referral. We do not rank rehab centers. Whether a named hospital will take an international guest for a block of sessions is verification pending.

Verification pending: which hospitals will see an international visitor for this purpose. The hospital directory is not a ranking and not a list of partners.

Papers and preparation

Do not attach full medical records in the first note to DragonTrail. The provider says which papers they want, and in which language. Record translation is a separate coordination task.

  • The provider’s own session plan, not one written by us.
  • The mobility aid in use now.
  • A lodging window that matches the dates they named.

Travel considerations

Quote a hotel near the unit and a repeat transfer, including weekends if the schedule has gaps. Stairs and door widths matter every day, not once. We do not promise recovery or a number of weeks.
