Calligraphy, dumpling making and lunch

This is a one-venue cultural experience rather than a transfer-heavy sightseeing tour. The activities follow a simple progression: practise calligraphy, prepare dumplings and finish with lunch.

  1. 1. Meet your host

Meet at the confirmed hutong-area venue or agreed nearby meeting point. Your host introduces the session and explains the activity flow.

  2. 2. Practise Chinese calligraphy

Learn how the brush, ink, paper and writing posture work together. Practise basic strokes or selected characters with guidance and provided materials.

  3. 3. Make dumplings

Take part in the confirmed dumpling-making steps for your booking.

    • Make dough: Prepared in advance — Dough is typically prepared before the session.
    • Roll wrappers: Included
    • Prepare filling: Included — Mixing and seasoning of the confirmed filling.
    • Fold dumplings: Included
    • Cook dumplings: Included
  4. 4. Share lunch

Eat the dumplings prepared during the session together with the confirmed accompanying dishes and drinks.

    • Confirmed accompanying dishes
    • Tea or drinking water when consistently included for the booking
