Study for heritage learners in China runs into nationality tests that schools print differently. DragonTrail does not decide who counts as a heritage learner, and it does not merge two universities’ clocks into one rule.

Two desks were opened on 29 October 2026. 北京语言大学’s undergraduate page prints a four-year foreign-passport test and two years of residence, counted to 30 April of the enrollment year. 清华大学经济管理学院’s 2027 master’s page prints six years for former Chinese citizens, also to 30 April. The order’s definition of an international student is “no Chinese nationality.” The desks add detail the order does not copy word for word.

Who This Route Fits
Study for Heritage Learners is for a reader with a family link to China who needs to see that “heritage” is not a visa category and not a DragonTrail label. The useful question is which school’s nationality paragraph applies to the application in front of them. DragonTrail does not enroll this reader and does not set an age or a start date.

What the Printed Rules Say
The rule that actually constrains Study for Heritage Learners is narrower than a brochure. 令第42号 defines an international student as a foreigner in a Chinese school, under the nationality law. It does not print a heritage track. 北京语言大学 then adds a test for some applicants with a Chinese parent. 清华大学 adds a different test for former Chinese citizens, and another sentence for people born abroad to a Chinese parent who already had foreign permanent residence at the birth. Using one school’s paragraph on the other school’s form is how files fail. A line from a different office is not copied onto this reader.
Where Study for Heritage Learners cites a number, the number stops at the page it came from. 北京语言大学’s international undergraduate page prints ages 18 to 55, and under 18 it asks for the school’s consent plus a guardianship notary. Starred majors can start in March or September. Other majors are September only. The March 2026 deadline is printed as 12 January 2026. The English page also prints a September 2025 label with a deadline of 30 June 2026. On 29 October 2026 both dates had passed. The application fee there is 800 RMB and is not refundable.

Neither date is a heritage intake. A date that has already passed stays passed.
Timing on Study for Heritage Learners does not create an intake DragonTrail can open. 清华大学经济管理学院’s 2027 pre-experience master’s page, released September 2026, requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent before registration. The final deadline is 26 February 2027 at 17:00 China Standard Time. Round 1 runs through 15 December 2026 at 17:00. On 29 October 2026 that round had not closed. Round 2 starts 1 January 2027 at 08:00. A Shenzhen finance third round runs from 27 February 2027 to 15 May 2027. The application fee is 800 RMB and is not refundable. This is a degree window, not a DragonTrail intake.

Fees That Belong to a School
Money on Study for Heritage Learners is whatever the named school printed in RMB, if it printed anything. Nationality tests do not change the RMB figures those same pages printed. A heritage label does not create a discount on this site, because no such discount was printed. Article 14 still leaves fees with the school. DragonTrail does not add a fee of its own.
Any yuan figure named for Study for Heritage Learners stays on the school’s list. Article 9 lists degree study as junior college, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral, and non-degree study as preparatory, advanced students, and research scholars. Article 12 says the school checks qualifications and financial support, may test the applicant, and decides admission. Someone who misses the school’s conditions is not admitted. DragonTrail is not that office.
