July shade at Tiantan lives under the cypress, not on the open approach. July shade at Yiheyuan lives in the Long Corridor. We start earlier in summer and we sit more often. A private outdoor day that never sits down is a day people finish early in their heads.

January warmth lives in the car between sites. Ice on garden steps and wind on the altar terrace are route inputs, not atmosphere. We drop the hill and the boat when traction is poor. We do not cancel the day because the postcard hill disappeared. The corridor and the trees still explain both places.

Seniors do well on this pairing because both sites are kinder than a full palace axis plus Longevity Hill. They do badly if we keep every optional. Strollers work on parts of both parks and fail on others. Dress shoes lose on stone at both. We ask about mobility before we lock a hill or a mound.
