One-Week Study Stays
One-week study stays in China are a length this site cannot date. Seven days is inside the 180-day short-study line and shorter than every course on 北京语言大学’s grid, which starts at four weeks. No one-week start month was printed. DragonTrail has no weekly intake.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
Teachers often ask for a week. Article 38 still requires a group agreement and, for primary or secondary pupils, a traveling guardian. That rule does not create a date. The language grid’s 20 class hours a week describe a different, longer course, not a seven-day product.
At a Glance

|---|---|
| Who Should Look Elsewhere | A reader who can stay four weeks and wants the grid that actually exists. Use the three-to-four-week page. |
| Clock | Seven days, no printed month. Four weeks is the shortest named language length. |
| Money | No weekly fee and no honest way to slice a fee that was never printed. |
| Who Decides | The school and the sending unit agree a group. The embassy decides the category. |
| Papers | Group agreement, traveling guardian if the pupils are minors in a school group, and an invitation or admission paper. |
| Easy to Mix Up | 20 class hours a week on a longer course is not the timetable of a seven-day trip. |
| Worked Example | A school asking for “a week in October” will not find October on the pages opened here. The week is a hope until a school prints it. |
| What We Do Not Do | DragonTrail does not schedule a teaching week or quote a group rate. |
Who This Route Fits
One-Week Study Stays is for a reader, often a group leader, who has about seven days and needs the difference between that hope and the shortest course a named university printed. DragonTrail does not enroll this reader and does not set an age or a start date.
Read alongside that fit, One-Week Study Stays still has to obey the office that printed the limit below. 北京语言大学’s short-term Chinese grid prints 4, 5, 6, and 8-week courses and a one-semester or 12-week course, at 20 class hours a week, with a class hour of 50 minutes. Credits on that page are 18 to 20 class hours each. The grid prints no month, no fee, and no age. A length is not a start date.
- Count seven days and four weeks as different lengths.
- A group agreement does not invent the month.
What the Printed Rules Say
The rule that actually constrains One-Week Study Stays is narrower than a brochure. A week can be part of a short-term group under Article 38 only after the school and the sending unit have an agreement. The week does not appear as its own category in Article 9. A university age line is not a weekly eligibility rule. A line from a different office is not copied onto this reader.
Where One-Week Study Stays cites a number, the number stops at the page it came from. Article 38 says that if a student is under 18 and the parents do not live in China, the parents must formally entrust a foreigner or a Chinese citizen who does live in China as guardian and must provide the proof. A short-term group needs an agreement with the foreign sending unit. For a primary or secondary school, that unit must finish the minor’s exit paperwork under its own law and must send a person who acts as guardian during the study. DragonTrail does not sign that agreement.
- Do not copy 20 class hours onto a seven-day trip.
- Those hours belong to the longer grid.
Time and the Visa Split
The clock for One-Week Study Stays is the stay length and the school’s own window, not a season label. Seven days is not four weeks. The grid’s 20 class hours and 50-minute hours belong to the 4-to-12-week courses, and copying them onto a seven-day trip overstates the teaching. No month sits beside either length. Beijing’s August registration dates had passed and were not a one-week course. A date that has already passed stays passed.
Timing on One-Week Study Stays does not create an intake DragonTrail can open. Article 45 of 教育部、外交部、公安部令第42号 counts short study as no more than 180 days, including the 180th day, and long study as more than 180 days. The Sweden embassy note dated 2026/10/12 uses the same split for an X2 visa and an X1 visa. An X1 holder applies for a residence permit within 30 days of entry. The consular officer decides the category. A season name does not.
- Passed August registration days are not a one-week course.
- No October was printed.
Fees That Belong to a School
Money on One-Week Study Stays is whatever the named school printed in RMB, if it printed anything. No weekly fee was opened. Do not price seven days as one quarter of a four-week course, because the four-week course did not print a fee either. Degree tuition is a worse yardstick. DragonTrail does not add a fee of its own.
Any yuan figure named for One-Week Study Stays stays on the school’s list. Article 14 says a higher-education school publishes its fee items, standards, and refund rules, and prices them in RMB. Article 40 requires the insurance the state and the school demand. Someone who does not insure in time is not admitted. Someone already studying who does not insure is withdrawn or not registered. The order prints no premium. DragonTrail does not add a rate card.
- Do not quarter a fee that does not exist.
- Degree tuition is not a week price.
Papers and Who Decides
Papers for One-Week Study Stays come from the school and, if a visa is needed, from the consulate. A group needs the agreement and, for minors in primary or secondary school, the traveling guardian. A visa file still depends on whether the embassy calls the week study or a study tour. DragonTrail supplies neither the agreement nor the invitation. This site does not issue either document.
Documents discussed for One-Week Study Stays are examples of what an office asked for, not a pack we issue. The Sweden embassy note dated 2026/10/12 describes an F visa for exchanges, visits, study tours, and other activities. The invitation should name the visitor, the purpose, the dates, the places, the relationship, the source of funds, and the inviter’s stamp and signature. F is not X1 or X2. The embassy decides. This page does not write the invitation.
- Name the traveling guardian if the group is a school group of minors.
- The invitation must carry real dates.
What to Do Next
The useful next step after One-Week Study Stays is a question to the school, then a look at the neighboring routes. Two weeks is the next length, still off the grid: Two-Week Study Stays. Group rules sit with Resources for Teachers and Group Leaders. Neither button on this page reserves a seat.
Before acting on One-Week Study Stays, keep the following boundary in view. The Beijing municipal English page dated 24 August 2026 lists autumn registration days and says they are for reference only. It prints 清华大学 new undergraduates, including international students, as 19 August, 北京大学 new undergraduate international students as 30 August, and 北京师范大学, including international students, as 6 September. On 29 October 2026 those days had passed. The source line is China Education Network Television, not each university’s own notice.
- If you can stay four weeks, use that page.
- This page does not book the week.

F is exchanges, visits, study tours, and other activities, and it needs an invitation with the visitor’s identity, dates, places, funds, and the inviter’s stamp and signature. FAQ
Does DragonTrail set an eligibility rule for a one-week study stay?
No. A week can be part of a short-term group under Article 38 only after the school and the sending unit have an agreement. The week does not appear as its own category in Article 9. A university age line is not a weekly eligibility rule. The school decides who it admits. DragonTrail does not publish a substitute age, degree bar, or start date for One-Week Study Stays.
Which age or status line was actually printed for a one-week study stay?
Only the lines named on this page. A week can be part of a short-term group under Article 38 only after the school and the sending unit have an agreement. The week does not appear as its own category in Article 9. A university age line is not a weekly eligibility rule. If a provider’s brochure is silent, this page stays silent too. Nothing here is a DragonTrail cutoff.
What does a stay’s length mean for a one-week study stay?
Seven days is not four weeks. The grid’s 20 class hours and 50-minute hours belong to the 4-to-12-week courses, and copying them onto a seven-day trip overstates the teaching. No month sits beside either length. Beijing’s August registration dates had passed and were not a one-week course. Article 45 of 令第42号 still splits short and long study at 180 days, including the 180th day. The embassy, not this page, chooses X1 or X2.
Were any intakes open for a one-week study stay on 29 October 2026?
Seven days is not four weeks. The grid’s 20 class hours and 50-minute hours belong to the 4-to-12-week courses, and copying them onto a seven-day trip overstates the teaching. No month sits beside either length. Beijing’s August registration dates had passed and were not a one-week course. DragonTrail does not run an intake of its own. A window that had passed is not described as open, and a window that was still printed as open belongs to the university that printed it.
Are the fees on this page a DragonTrail price for a one-week study stay?
No. No weekly fee was opened. Do not price seven days as one quarter of a four-week course, because the four-week course did not print a fee either. Degree tuition is a worse yardstick. Article 14 says a higher-education school prices its own items in RMB. DragonTrail does not add a rate card beside that list.
Who issues the papers for a one-week study stay?
A group needs the agreement and, for minors in primary or secondary school, the traveling guardian. A visa file still depends on whether the embassy calls the week study or a study tour. DragonTrail supplies neither the agreement nor the invitation. An admission notice, a JW form, and an invitation come from the school or the inviter. The consular officer decides the visa category. DragonTrail issues none of them.
What should someone ask before paying for a one-week study stay?
Ask the school whether the age line, the guardian rule, the teaching weeks, and the refund rule apply to this person. No weekly fee was opened. Do not price seven days as one quarter of a four-week course, because the four-week course did not print a fee either. Degree tuition is a worse yardstick. Pay only the office that published the fee, and keep the receipt in that school’s name.
Where should a reader go after a one-week study stay?
