Robotics and Automation

Robotics and automation in China, on the pages we checked, is a wording problem before it is a fee. 清华大学 Zijing College’s 2027 English engineering guide names Electrical Engineering and Automation, Measurement, Control Technology and Instruments, and Vehicle Engineering inside a four-year Bachelor of Engineering. It does not print the English title Robotics. We will not invent a robotics tuition to fill that gap.

Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).

DragonTrail has no robotics workshop and no automation seat. The figures below are the engineering guide’s figures, because that is the page that names the closest fields, not because a robotics major has been priced. Tuition there is 100,000 RMB a year. The application fee is 800 RMB and is not refundable. On 29 October 2026 round one still ran until 17:00 on 20 November 2026, Beijing time. If you need the word robotics on the diploma, ask the department. This page cannot add it.

The Word Robotics Is Missing on Purpose

Robotics and automation attract a kind of brochure that talks about arms, vision, and factories. The honest report from 29 October 2026 is narrower. The Tsinghua page that names automation is the Global Talents in Science and Engineering guide for 2027, posted 24 September 2026. Students train in fields the guide lists, including Electrical Engineering and Automation, Measurement, Control Technology and Instruments, and Vehicle Engineering. The parchment is a Tsinghua bachelor’s of engineering. Interdisciplinary Engineering is one allowed title. A traditional major is the other, if its rules are met. Neither sentence contains the word robotics.

That absence is the point of this page. A reader who needs “robotics” for a home university’s credit committee, or for a job description that matches titles literally, should not assume control technology will be accepted as the same words. Email the admissions office and ask which major name can appear on the certificate. If the answer is none, this guide is the wrong route, even though the teaching may include control and machines. Engineering in China is the full reading of the same brochure. This page only holds the automation wording and the missing title.

What Automation Sits Inside

The program is built from information science and technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and design science. The longer list adds electronic information science and technology, mechanical engineering again, civil engineering and systems, traffic engineering, architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Automation is one field in that set, not a college of its own. You personalise a path. You do not pick a robotics department from a drop-down we can see. AI is mentioned as a foundation of the college’s STEAM idea. Mentioning AI does not create an artificial-intelligence degree, which is a separate page and, at UIBE, a separate price.

All instruction is in English. Four academic years. Applicants whose native language is not English provide a test report such as TOEFL or IELTS. The guide does not print a minimum. Do not borrow IELTS 6.0 from UIBE or HSK 5 from BLCU. Those rules belong to majors that use those names. Age is 18 by 1 September 2027. The ministry nationality notice, 教外函〔2020〕12号, is incorporated by reference, including Tsinghua’s own 2027 nationality instructions. A failed document check stops the file at any stage.

Fees We Will Quote, and the Robot Price We Will Not

If you apply to this engineering program because automation is on its list, the money on the guide is 100,000 RMB tuition a year, 800 RMB to apply, and 800 RMB a year for insurance described as basic accidental injury and hospitalization. The application fee is not refundable. A freshman scholarship can be full, half, or partial tuition for the first year and is exclusive of another award of the same type. Later years follow Tsinghua’s scholarship rules, including a possible Beijing government scholarship. None of that is a robotics discount.

We did not open a public fee for a degree titled robotics at Harbin, Shanghai, or anywhere else in this batch. A third-party directory number is not a source. China Agricultural University’s 20,000 RMB international year and Beijing Normal University’s 27,700 RMB science and engineering year are real figures for other notices. They are not a substitute robotics price. Cost of Studying can hold housing once the international student center publishes the Zijing room rate. That rate was not on the engineering guide.

The Clock and the Assessment You Are Not Shown Yet

Round one, Beijing time, runs from 08:00 on 30 September 2026 to 17:00 on 20 November 2026, with results by January 2027. Round two runs from 08:00 on 21 November 2026 to 17:00 on 28 February 2027, with results by early May 2027. On the day we checked, 29 October 2026, round one had not ended. The comprehensive assessment’s method and schedule are promised in advance and are not printed here. Admission documents are described for June 2027. Paying 800 RMB because a blog said robotics is open is how people buy the wrong PDF.

Academic evidence can include transcripts, a national graduation exam, and examples such as CSCA, SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, or IB, plus olympiad awards if you have them. CSCA is an example on this guide, not a sentence that every automation-minded applicant must sit it. Other universities do require CSCA for every undergraduate international file. Do not import that universal rule into this paragraph. The application system named on the guide is apply.join-tsinghua.edu.cn. The mailbox is admissions@tsinghua.edu.cn.

A Robot Workshop Is Not This Bachelor’s

Summer schools, company labs, and three-week robot kits can be useful and still produce a certificate of attendance. The Zijing guide produces a bachelor’s only after courses, assessments, and a thesis defense. If a camp uses the word robotics every day and never mentions a degree, believe the document, not the adjective. DragonTrail does not sell those camps on this page either. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science covers major titles that do say artificial intelligence. It does not repair the missing robotics title here.

Housing is a residential college. You book in a designated window, and availability follows the system. The guide sends accommodation prices to the International Student and Scholar Center. Off-campus police registration, where it applies, will be on that center’s notes or on the admission pack, not in a sentence we invent. Insurance at 800 RMB is not a promise about outpatient robotics injuries or about equipment you break in a lab. Read the policy the university attaches before you treat 800 RMB as full medical cover.

What To Ask Before You Use the Engineering Route

Ask three questions in writing. Can the certificate say robotics, automation, or only engineering? Which of the listed fields can a first-year actually enter? Does the thesis have to be in a control lab, or is any engineering topic inside the program enough? Keep the answers with the fee line. League labels such as 双一流 do not answer those questions. Universities and Schools keeps them as glossary so a famous name does not outrank a missing major title.

If the office replies that robotics is a graduate research group and not an undergraduate major, stop and wait for that graduate page. We did not price a robotics master’s in this batch. UIBE’s English master’s list includes transport economics and logistics, not a robotics degree. Sending us the reply is enough for a second reading. We will not convert an engineering application into a robotics offer, and we will not pay the 800 RMB on your behalf. When the 20 November hour passes, the next guide is the only honest source.

FAQ

Did you find a degree called robotics?

No. The Tsinghua 2027 English engineering guide names automation, measurement and control, and vehicle engineering. It does not name robotics. We did not invent a robotics program to fill the manifest title.

Why does this page still quote 100,000 RMB?

Because that is the tuition on the only guide we opened that names those control and automation fields. It is an engineering price. It is not a robotics price from a robotics department.

Is the November window an automation intake?

It is the engineering program’s round one, open on the page until 17:00 on 20 November 2026, Beijing time, when we checked on 29 October 2026. It admits people to that engineering program, not to a major titled robotics.

Will DragonTrail place me in a robotics lab?

No. Lab access is the university’s decision after admission. We do not hold a bench, a robot arm, or a supervisor. Find a Suitable Program does not submit the Tsinghua form.

Can I use a BLCU or UIBE fee instead?

Only if that university prints the major you mean. The tables we opened do not title a robotics degree. Borrowing 25,800 or 49,750 RMB would invent a product.

Does the engineering guide require HSK?

No. It is English-taught and asks for English evidence if English is not your native language, without a printed cutoff. A Chinese-taught automation major would be a different brochure.

Is CSCA compulsory here?

On this engineering guide, CSCA is one example of academic evidence, not a rule that every applicant must submit it. Do not copy another university’s “all undergraduates must sit CSCA” sentence onto this file.

What should I do if I truly need the word robotics?

Ask the university, in writing, which certificate can carry it. If none can, do not pay 800 RMB against this guide. Send us the reply if you want it read against the degree sentence. We still cannot admit you.
