Economics
Economics in China, as a fee you can point to, is the English-taught Economics major at 对外经济贸易大学: 49,750 RMB a year on the international undergraduate catalog. The same page asks for CSCA Mathematics and for English evidence such as TOEFL 86 or IELTS 6.0. It does not print whether the open form is for 2026 or 2027.
Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).
DragonTrail has no economics intake. The 660 RMB application fee and the 10,000 RMB advance are UIBE’s. The advance is not refundable and is later counted into tuition. Beijing Normal University’s catalog awards an Economics degree to International Economics and Trade, on a 2026 brochure that has closed, and we will not paste 49,750 onto that closed row. A master’s in economics is a different page.
At a Glance
| UIBE sticker | Economics, English-taught undergraduate catalog: 49,750 RMB per academic year. The first semester is charged as a full year. Later payment is by semester. |
|---|---|
| English evidence | TOEFL at least 86, IELTS 6.0, or other evidence the page lists, including A Level at BBC or above. A letter that high school was fully in English can stand where the page allows it. |
| CSCA | Mathematics, for this English undergraduate catalog. The page links csca.cn. It does not ask for HSK on the English undergraduate rules we read. |
| Cash before tuition | Application fee 660 RMB, not refundable. Advance 10,000 RMB after enrollment is confirmed, not refundable, counted into tuition at registration. A bank balance may be asked to cover tuition. |
| Windows without a year | Spring applications 20 October to 31 December each year. Fall applications 20 March to 30 June each year. On 29 October 2026 the date sits inside the first text. The intake name is still unprinted. |
| BNU trade row, closed | International Economics and Trade is awarded as Economics on the 2026 BNU catalog. Teaching is Chinese, four years. Online filing ended 15 March 2026. Do not assume the humanities band of 24,000 without the cell. |
| BLCU English trade block | International Economics and Trade (Taught in English) sits in a block with Finance and Accounting. The fee number we could read, 39,000 RMB, is printed on the Finance row. Do not copy it onto trade until you see the cell span. |
| DragonTrail | No forecast of a salary and no ranking of economics faculties. Find a Suitable Program does not pay the 10,000 RMB advance. |
The UIBE Price Is a Catalog Line
Economics in China is often sold as a city plus a ranking. The page that actually prices an English-taught Economics bachelor’s, among those we opened, is UIBE’s international undergraduate catalog. The line is 49,750 RMB a year. The note says the first semester collects a full year and that later payment is by semester. International Economics and Trade, Finance, and several business majors share that same annual figure on the tuition table. Sharing a price is not sharing a curriculum. Read the major name you tick.
The campus detail on the page is Room 101, Building B, International Plaza, No. 10 Huixin Dongjie, Chaoyang, Beijing 100029. Phones are +86-10-6449-2327 and 6449-2329. The degree message address printed for English programs is degreeinenglish@163.com, with sie@uibe.edu.cn beside it. Those are university addresses. DragonTrail does not receive the file. Finance and Accounting uses the Finance line on the same table so this page can stay with Economics.
English Scores and One CSCA Subject
Applicants need a high-school diploma and good health. Under 18, a notarised guardianship if UIBE approves. English evidence is numeric: TOEFL 86, IELTS 6.0, or the alternatives the page lists, including GRE, Cambridge, A Level at BBC, IB, or a letter that the high school was taught in English. There is no HSK requirement in that English undergraduate section. Materials must be in Chinese or English and are not returned. A criminal-record certificate is on the list. An asset certificate is “if needed,” with the example of a balance that can cover tuition.
CSCA is specifically Mathematics for this catalog. That is an entrance test, not a statement that you are enrolling in a mathematics degree. Mathematics and Statistics is the page for a mathematics major at another university. Sitting CSCA Mathematics for UIBE Economics does not create credit in a school of mathematical sciences. The test site is csca.cn. Dates for sittings are on that site, not in a sentence we invent here.
The Advance Payment and the Unnamed Year
Two payments happen before or beside tuition. The application fee is 660 RMB and is not refundable. After the university confirms enrollment, an advance of 10,000 RMB is also not refundable, and the page says it is counted into tuition after you register. Do not treat 10,000 as a holding fee DragonTrail can refund. Do not pay it until the major name on the confirmation is Economics, or whichever line you actually chose.
The calendar is the weak point. Spring is printed as 20 October to 31 December each year. Fall is 20 March to 30 June each year. Checked on 29 October 2026, the clock sits inside the October text. The page never says “2027 spring intake” or “2026 fall intake.” A form can be last year’s template. Open it and read the semester it names before you pay 660 RMB. We will not announce a seat as open merely because today’s date matches a recurring sentence. The same window shape appears on the English master’s page, which is a two-year degree and a different price.
Other Rows That Say Economics and Mean Something Else
Beijing Normal University’s 2026 catalog lists International Economics and Trade with an Economics degree in the Business School. The brochure teaches international bachelor’s degrees in Chinese for four years and closed online applications on 15 March 2026. Humanities and social sciences are 24,000 RMB a year. Science, engineering, and arts are 27,700. The trade row’s own cell was not a number we could isolate cleanly, so this page does not assign 24,000 to it. HSK 5 at 180 is the brochure rule outside two Chinese-teaching majors. That closed file is context. It is not UIBE’s English catalog.
BLCU lists International Economics and Trade as an English-taught special program next to Finance and Accounting (Digital and Intelligent Accounting). English on that block is IELTS 5.5 with 5.5 in each part, or TOEFL 80, or TOEIC 650, plus an interview. The only fee figure we could see printed in that block is 39,000 RMB on the Finance row. Trade may share the cell. It may not. Look at the live table. There is also a Chinese-taught International Economics and Trade under the College of Applied Chinese at HSK 4 and 180, in a block priced 25,800 where the figure is printed. Same English words, different language rule. International Trade and Logistics follows the trade title on purpose.
A Master’s Is Not 49,750
UIBE’s English master’s page is two academic years. It names Finance, International Trade, International Business, and others. The priced lines include an IMBA at 128,640 RMB for two years and a residual “other majors offered in English” at 99,160 RMB for two years. Economics as a bachelor’s title is not that list. Do not divide 49,750 by something and call it a master’s. Do not multiply it by two and call it the graduate bill. Bachelor’s evidence is a high-school diploma. The master’s page asks for a bachelor’s degree and still uses TOEFL 86 or IELTS 6.0.
English-taught master’s files, on that page, have no entrance examination. The office checks documents and the school decides. That sentence does not apply to the undergraduate catalog, which has CSCA Mathematics. Mixing the two is how a strong transcript gets filed on the wrong form. Scholarships, if any, are not printed as a guaranteed tuition cut on the Economics line we read. Universities and Schools is where 211 and 双一流 stay as labels rather than a league table we sort.
How To Use 49,750 Without Inventing a Career
Use 49,750 as UIBE’s published undergraduate year for Economics on the day we read the catalog, 29 October 2026. Add the 660 and, if you are admitted, the 10,000 that comes back only as a tuition credit. Then add housing the page does not price. Cost of Studying is that second sum. A bank letter that covers tuition is the page’s own example of an asset check. It is not a statement about your future salary, and this site will not print one.
If the live catalog has moved Economics off 49,750, the sentence in this article is stale. Send the link. We can read the new cell. We cannot submit the form, we cannot sit CSCA, and we cannot tell you that Chaoyang is a better economics city than Haidian. City choice is Where To Study after the major is real. The hub for the field, before the fee, is What To Study.

FAQ
Does DragonTrail offer an economics degree?
No. The 49,750 RMB figure is UIBE’s English-taught undergraduate catalog. Find a Suitable Program does not submit the application or pay the 10,000 RMB advance.
What English score does that catalog ask for?
TOEFL at least 86 or IELTS 6.0, or another piece of evidence the page lists, including a letter if high school was fully in English. It does not ask for HSK on the English undergraduate section we read.
Is the October application window definitely open?
The page prints 20 October to 31 December each year and does not name the intake. On 29 October 2026 the calendar date falls inside that text. Confirm the semester on the live form before you pay 660 RMB.
Is 49,750 also the BNU economics fee?
No. BNU’s 2026 catalog awards an Economics degree to International Economics and Trade on a brochure that closed on 15 March 2026. We did not isolate that row’s fee cell, and we will not copy UIBE’s number onto it.
What is the 10,000 RMB advance?
UIBE’s page says you pay it after enrollment is confirmed, that it is not refundable, and that it is counted into tuition after registration. It is not a separate DragonTrail charge.
Does CSCA Mathematics mean I am a mathematics student?
No. It is the entrance subject printed for UIBE’s English-taught undergraduates. The degree, if you are admitted to this line, is Economics, at the economics fee.
Can I use the master’s price list for a bachelor’s?
No. The English master’s page is two academic years and uses its own totals, including 99,160 RMB for other majors it does not price individually. The bachelor’s Economics line remains 49,750 a year.
What should I re-check before paying?
The major name, the 49,750 cell, the CSCA Mathematics line, the refund words on 660 and 10,000, and the intake year on the form. Send the link if those have moved. We still cannot admit you.
