Semester-Length Study Options

Semester-length study options in China depend on which office used the word. 北京语言大学’s language grid says one semester or 12 weeks. That is not a university’s autumn term, and it was printed without a month. DragonTrail does not publish a semester you can join.

Information checked 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).

Beijing’s municipal page listed autumn 2026 registration days, and those days had passed by 29 October 2026. It said the list was for reference only and came through China Education Network Television, not each registrar. 清华大学’s 2027 master’s rounds are application deadlines, not the first day of a semester.

What We Do Not DoDragonTrail does not announce a semester start or reopen a passed registration day.

Who This Route Fits

Semester-Length Study Options is for a reader comparing a 12-week language column, a degree term, and a registration day, who needs those three kept apart. DragonTrail does not enroll this reader and does not set an age or a start date.

Read alongside that fit, Semester-Length Study Options still has to obey the office that printed the limit below. 北京语言大学’s short-term Chinese grid prints 4, 5, 6, and 8-week courses and a one-semester or 12-week course, at 20 class hours a week, with a class hour of 50 minutes. Credits on that page are 18 to 20 class hours each. The grid prints no month, no fee, and no age. A length is not a start date.

  • Ask which document used the word semester.
  • 12 weeks is the only definition opened here.

What the Printed Rules Say

The rule that actually constrains Semester-Length Study Options is narrower than a brochure. Article 45 does not define a semester. It defines 180 days. Twelve weeks is inside that line. A degree semester that runs longer than 180 days is long study even if the school’s brochure says one term. The school’s dates, once they exist, are what you count. A line from a different office is not copied onto this reader.

Where Semester-Length Study Options cites a number, the number stops at the page it came from. Article 45 of 教育部、外交部、公安部令第42号 counts short study as no more than 180 days, including the 180th day, and long study as more than 180 days. The Sweden embassy note dated 2026/10/12 uses the same split for an X2 visa and an X1 visa. An X1 holder applies for a residence permit within 30 days of entry. The consular officer decides the category. A season name does not.

  • Count the school’s dates against 180 days when you have them.
  • The order never defines a semester.

Time and the Visa Split

The clock for Semester-Length Study Options is the stay length and the school’s own window, not a season label. No class-start date for a degree semester was opened. The passed August and early September registration days are check-in notes, not a syllabus. Round 1 closing on 15 December 2026 is an application close for a 2027 master’s program. Putting that date in a “semester starts” box would be false. A date that has already passed stays passed.

Timing on Semester-Length Study Options does not create an intake DragonTrail can open. The Beijing municipal English page dated 24 August 2026 lists autumn registration days and says they are for reference only. It prints 清华大学 new undergraduates, including international students, as 19 August, 北京大学 new undergraduate international students as 30 August, and 北京师范大学, including international students, as 6 September. On 29 October 2026 those days had passed. The source line is China Education Network Television, not each university’s own notice.

  • Do not put 15 December 2026 in a class-start box.
  • Passed August check-in days stay passed.

Fees That Belong to a School

Money on Semester-Length Study Options is whatever the named school printed in RMB, if it printed anything. A 12-week column did not print a fee. A degree semester may sit inside yearly tuition such as 25,800 or 30,000 RMB, and those figures were printed per year or per program, not per week. Do not divide them by two unless the school did. DragonTrail does not add a fee of its own.

Any yuan figure named for Semester-Length Study Options stays on the school’s list. 清华大学经济管理学院’s 2027 pre-experience master’s page, released September 2026, requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent before registration. The final deadline is 26 February 2027 at 17:00 China Standard Time. Round 1 runs through 15 December 2026 at 17:00. On 29 October 2026 that round had not closed. Round 2 starts 1 January 2027 at 08:00. A Shenzhen finance third round runs from 27 February 2027 to 15 May 2027. The application fee is 800 RMB and is not refundable. This is a degree window, not a DragonTrail intake.

  • Leave yearly fees yearly.
  • The language column had no price.

Papers and Who Decides

Papers for Semester-Length Study Options come from the school and, if a visa is needed, from the consulate. A 12-week stay, if it is the whole study, points to the X2 packet on the Sweden note. A degree semester that runs past 180 days points to X1 and a residence permit within 30 days. The word semester does not choose. The day count does. This site does not issue either document.

Documents discussed for Semester-Length Study Options are examples of what an office asked for, not a pack we issue. Article 14 says a higher-education school publishes its fee items, standards, and refund rules, and prices them in RMB. Article 40 requires the insurance the state and the school demand. Someone who does not insure in time is not admitted. Someone already studying who does not insure is withdrawn or not registered. The order prints no premium. DragonTrail does not add a rate card.

  • Pick X1 or X2 from the day count, then the embassy.
  • A semester label is not a JW form.

What to Do Next

The useful next step after Semester-Length Study Options is a question to the school, then a look at the neighboring routes. The week count lives on One- to Three-Month Study Stays. A full year is Academic-Year Study Options. Neither button on this page reserves a seat.

Before acting on Semester-Length Study Options, keep the following boundary in view. Article 9 lists degree study as junior college, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral, and non-degree study as preparatory, advanced students, and research scholars. Article 12 says the school checks qualifications and financial support, may test the applicant, and decides admission. Someone who misses the school’s conditions is not admitted. DragonTrail is not that office.

  • A full year is a different page.
  • This page does not enroll you for a term.

These pages were read on 29 October 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). An age line, a fee, and an application window belong to the office named in the link. If a date has passed, the page says so. None of this is a DragonTrail age rule, an intake, or a seat, and none of it is legal advice.
