The visa-center page dated 26 August 2026 describes X2 as short-term study of no more than 180 days, and the consular officer decides validity, duration, and entries. The immigration guide dated 1 April 2021 says that if the visa requires a residence permit, you apply within 30 days where you will live, and that an X1 student permit needs a school letter with the term plus admission or enrollment.
